Although nothing will completely take the pain away of loosing my precious sweet Katelyn there have been many things that have given me comfort and peace. I have found some poems I would like to share  with you.

To One Gone Too Soon

Little angel, sent from God

To a desperate world in need,

You touched the hearts of those you loved,

With every smile and deed.

The pain you suffered and endured,

Would have conquered a weaker soul

Your willful, stubborn, hope-filled heart

Placed you in a stronger role.

Eight and a half years

You nutured love in a place void

You gave us love, life, and hope

And kept our spirits buoyed.

Now in Heaven, Katelyn, please,

Keep watch over us all

And always remember, won't you please

You were loved like no other!

The first thing that I asked God was just the reason why when he took my precious daughter beyond the stars in the sky as we held on to her body. I then started to scream and shout but my anger soon then turned to sadness as we held her in our arms. She was still our beautiful daughter, truly an angel with all of her charms. It was then I started to wonder as my eyes filled up to cry, was my angel needed elsewhere and is that the reason why.

Angel Tears

I dreamed upon an Angel Sweet so distraught and sad. She said her family's sorrow was making her feel bad.

"I know they feel the emptiness. They wish that I were there, and I am truly touched by this... I know how much they care."

The Angel looked up through her Tears, she said "it breaks my heart to know my family's hurting so...their lives are torn apart.

I really love them all so much. They mean the world to me I'd like to tell them I'm okay... if they could only see..."

I'd seen this Angel's face before, it was our precious Child Shining Bright through Jesus' Light so strong, yet so meek and mild.

"The lessons to be learned, she said are waiting there on Earth and how we choose to live our lives determines our true worth

And then, when God decides it's time to bring us home again He welcomes us with open arms in Heaven, new Life begins.

Your lives should all go on, she said, there's so much you can do to make the world a better place through all you say and do. 

My death is not a final thing, it does not mean the end, as life goes on for me, you see your soul begins to mend".

I wish you only happiness. Don't think that I am gone, you'll see me in the bright new day that comes with every dawn.

I want to help you dry your eyes, remember me and smile. Please honor me with happiness and make today worthwhile.

Heaven is such a perfect place where everything is good. If I could send a picture home, I'm sure you know I would.

I loved the life I had on Earth, I know that I was blessed, but Heaven is more beautiful than I'd have ever guessed...

I've heard that tears can heal the heart and lift the heaviness, so I am shedding Angel tears to make your burden less.

Your love was carried with my soul the day I went away and it will always stay with me, Forever and a day.

Miss Me- But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free....
Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me - but let me go...
For this is a journey
that we all must take
and each must go alone,
It's all a part of a greater plan
a step on the road home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
go to the friends we know...
and bury your sorrow in
doing good deeds
Miss me - but let me go.

A Child Of Mine 

I will lend you, for a little time,  A child of mine, He said.

For you to love the while she lives, and mourn for when she's dead.

It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three.

But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? 

She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief.

You'll have her lovely memories, as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return.

But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn.

I've looked the wide world over, in search for teachers true.

And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.

Now will you give her all your love, nor think the labor vain.

Nor hate me when I come to take her home again? 

I fancied that I heard them say, 'Dear Lord, Thy will be done!'

For all the joys Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may,

And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for her, much sooner than we've planned.

We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.

  LETTER FROM HEAVEN

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say

   But first of all, I want you to know that I arrived OK.

I'm writing this letter from Heaven;here I dwell with God above,

Here, there are no more tears of sadness-there is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I am with you every morning noon and night.

That day I had to leave you, when my life on earth was through;

God picked me and hugged me and he said, "I welcome you!"

"It's good to have you here again; your were missed while you were gone; As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.

I need you here so badly; you are part of my great plan,

There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do,

And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.,

God and I are close to you in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years,

Because you are only human, they're bound to bring some tears.

But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain,

Remember there would be no flowers if we didn't have the rain.

I wish that I could tell you, all that God has planned

If I were to tell you; you wouldn't understand.

But for one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over,

I'm closer to you now that I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead and many hills to climb,

But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street and you've  got me on your mind,

I'm walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind..

And when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free.

Remember...you're not GOING; You're just COMING home to me!

Death of a Child

Sorry I didn't get to stay.
To laugh and run and play.
To be there by your side.
I'm sorry that I had to die.

God sent me down to be with you,
to make your loving heart anew.
To help you look up and see
Both God and little me.

Mommy, I wish I could stay.
Just like I heard you pray.
But, all the angels did cry
when they told little me goodbye.

God didn't take me cause He's mad.
He didn't send me to make you sad.
But to give us both a chance to be
a love so precious .. don't you see?

Up here no trouble do I see
and the pretty angels sing to me.
The streets of gold is where I play
you'll come here too, mommy, someday.

Until the day you join me here,
I'll love you mommy, dear.
Each breeze you feel and see,
brings love and a kiss from me.
